Fire is one of the essential resources that’s critically important to our overall survival. It contributes to making our food and water safe for consumption as well as offering a reliable source of light and heat when such necessities have become compromised. The presence of fire in itself can help protect against various predators that may be lurking out in the shadows. It can also display signals of distress alerting emergency services far off in the distance. In the absence of medical attention, fire has been known to safely assist cauterizing wounds. It can also transform various rock and bone into useful hunting tools such as spearheads, knife blades, axe tips and fishing hooks just to name a few.  In any case the ambient light we normally catch flickering to the crackling sound of a fire not only offers us warmth, comfort and peace during times of uncertainty, but frequently signifies Gods presence whenever it is  mentioned throughout the Bible. What a blessing it is for such a wonderful resource to be made available to us in this lifetime.
